Holy Moly and the Crackers are a “gypsy folk and roll” band from Newcastle-Upon Tyne. Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing and Mike Harding have played their music. Having toured the UK and beyond, they are making an impact on both the national and international circuits with their energetic and anarchic live show.

Holy Moly and the Crackers are influenced by an eclectic range of styles and artists; the honest grit and gravel of Woody Guthrie, the gypsy bone-cage burlesque of Gogol Bordello, the spectral clarity of Joni Mitchell: They play a deadly mix of Romani, Americana and contemporary British folk-rock:

"This is folk music mixed with blues, waltz tempos and hoe-downs crossed with french Zazou and outlandish carnival style. It is loud, funky and fun."

The Buffalo Skinners began life as a busking band in 2010, channelling their old folk and skiffle heroes to small crowds in Scarborough.

5 years and tens of thousands of miles later this song-writing collective has earned themselves a sizeable group of fans in the UK, Europe and the west coast of America.

They play their own twist on folk - lyric-centred songs arranged in a beat-pop style and bashed out on guitars, skiffle-y drums, bass, fiddle, rhodes piano and harmonica. It's an atmospheric mix, eerie, cacophonous and fun in equal measure.

They are proud to have had their songs selected for airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 music shows including ones hosted by Dermot O'Leary, Bob Harris, Steve Lamacq, Cerys Matthews and Janice Long.

The Buffalo Skinners currently live in Sheffield and are recording their third album with producer Colin Elliot (Richard Hawley, Paul Weller, Jarvis Cocker) who has been nominated for a Mercury Music Prize and received two gold records for his work with Richard Hawley.

"Their music is painted vividly across a broad canvas, using a palette that draws easily from traditional folk and rock’n’roll"

Also an act with humble busking origins, Jack's slide guitar performances are now attracting millions of views online. With his feet firmly planted in an authentic blues style, Jack is now making waves globally as one of the most exciting modern bluesmen of our time.
