Brudenell presents...
International Teachers of Pop
+ Tallsaint + Fwar
Outsider Synth pop group, International Teachers of Pop - formed at a 'circuit bending workshop' in the North of England, a year and a half ago .Made up of Moonlandingz founder Adrian Flanagan (eccentronic research council/Adult Entertainment), Dean Honer (All seeing I/I Monster) and singer, Leonore Wheatley (The Soundcarriers/Whyte Horses). Their debut live show was in a cave in Derbyshire on invite from Jarvis Cocker and since then they've notched up prestigious shows with Roisin Murphy at Somerset House, been on heavy rotation at BBC 6 Music, won fans in legends like IGGY POP who said "They have a terrific energy to what they do..I like them very much!!"
This year ITOP brought out their self titled debut album which made the Top 10 in the UK independent album charts(plus vinyl & dance charts) and received critical acclaim from all corners of the media. The group have been touring the record all year across europe and have been 'the people's highlight' at many festivals over the summer. They are currently finishing off their second album which features a great collaboration with Sleaford Mods frontman, Jason Williamson..ITOP are ending a successful year with a small run of dates around christmas which they have wryly titled the 'Consumerism on a budget' tour, where they will be playing their debut album and showcasing a bunch of tracks from their eagerly awaited second album. Legwarmers on, parka's off, the teachers cometh to warm you up at xmas!
